The Role
We’re seeking a full-time experienced litigation paralegal who is organized, detail-oriented, and proactive. In this role, you’ll play a key part in managing case files, preparing trial materials, handling discovery, and supporting attorneys throughout all stages of litigation. You’ll have a high level of autonomy and direct impact on client outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of litigation, from inception through trial and appeal;
- Manage discovery processes, including document collection, review, and production;
- Draft, proofread, and cite-check legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and correspondence;
- Organize and maintain case files, both electronically and in physical form;
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and meetings;
- Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and other trial materials;
- Conduct legal and factual research as needed;
- Communicate with clients, court personnel, and other professionals;
- Thorough knowledge of legal principles, terminology and procedures;
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of litigation paralegal experience (civil or commercial litigation preferred);
- Strong understanding of litigation procedures in both state and federal courts;
- Proficiency with legal document management systems and e-discovery platforms;
- Excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills;
- Ability to multitask, solve problems, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment;
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys simultaneously;
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the Office;
- Strong and reliable work ethic, attention to detail, and adept organizational skills;
- Efficient in handling heavy workloads with attention to detail, and skillful in task-management and time-management to meet court mandated deadlines, state deadlines, and internal deadlines;
- A paralegal certificate is required.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 5:30pm.
- 8 Hour Shift
- 1 hour Lunch (nonpaid)
- Overtime (if applicable)
